Presenter: Lyn Turkstra, PhD, CCC-SLP
Dr. Lyn S. Turkstra is a Professor and Assistant Dean for Speech-Language Pathology in the School of Rehabilitation Science at McMaster, and faculty in the Neuroscience Graduate Program. Her research focuses on understanding effects of acquired brain injury on cognition and communication, and developing evidence-informed interventions. She has over 120 peer-reviewed publications and is co-author of the new text, Transforming Cognitive Rehabilitation, with Dr. McKay Sohlberg and Ms. Justine Hamilton. Dr. Turkstra is a co-author of the international INCOG practice guidelines for traumatic brain injury (TBI) rehabilitation, and co-investigator on clinical trials of cognitive rehabilitation for service members and veterans with mild TBI, and adults with Long COVID.
